AI Output Disclaimer

Version 1.0 · Effective 4 September 2026

Bluto uses AI to help you build financial models, prepare pitch decks, manage your cap table, and plan your business. AI is powerful -- and it has limits. This page explains what those limits are and what you should do before relying on anything Bluto's AI produces.

01What This Page Covers

1.1 Every AI-powered feature in Bluto -- including financial model generation, pitch deck drafting, cap table analysis, business planning tools, and conversational AI assistance -- produces outputs based on the information you provide and on the AI model's training data.

1.2 These outputs are generated automatically. They are not reviewed or verified by Bluto before being delivered to you. This page explains what that means in practice and what you should bear in mind before using, sharing, or acting on anything our AI produces.

1.3 This page is a summary. The full terms governing your use of AI-powered features are set out in our AI Terms at bluto.ai/legal/ai.

02Limitations of AI Outputs

2.1 AI outputs are probabilistic. The same question asked twice may produce two different answers. This is a property of the technology, not an error.

2.2 AI outputs may contain mistakes. Figures, dates, calculations, legal requirements, and regulatory details can all be incorrect. The AI does not know what it does not know -- it will not always flag uncertainty or gaps in its knowledge.

2.3 AI outputs may be out of date. The AI model's knowledge has a training cutoff. Rules, rates, thresholds, and guidance from HMRC, Companies House, the FCA, and other regulatory bodies change. An output that was accurate when the model was trained may no longer reflect current requirements.

2.4 AI outputs are based on what you put in. If the assumptions, figures, or context you provide are incomplete or inaccurate, the outputs will reflect that. Garbage in, garbage out -- this applies as much to AI as to any other tool.

03Not Professional Advice

3.1 Nothing produced by any AI-powered feature in Bluto constitutes professional advice. This applies regardless of how specific, detailed, or confident an AI output appears. In particular, AI outputs are not:

  • financial advice regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
  • tax advice in relation to HMRC requirements, corporation tax, VAT, self-assessment, or any other tax matter
  • legal advice in relation to any matter of English law or the law of any other jurisdiction
  • accounting advice prepared in accordance with any recognised accounting framework
  • regulatory advice in relation to Companies House obligations, SEIS or EIS eligibility, FCA authorisation, or any other compliance matter

This is not a formality. Regulatory rules change, individual circumstances vary, and AI models make mistakes. An output that looks right may not be right for your situation. Before you rely on anything our AI tells you about tax, compliance, regulation, or financial matters -- speak to a qualified professional.

04Your Responsibilities

4.1 You are responsible for checking AI outputs before you use them. This means verifying figures, confirming regulatory details against official sources, and applying your own judgement. Do not share AI-generated financial models, projections, or compliance documents with investors, lenders, or regulators without reviewing them first.

4.2 If you are sharing AI outputs with third parties -- including investors, co-founders, lenders, or advisers -- make sure they understand the outputs were AI-generated and have not been independently verified unless you have done that verification yourself.

4.3 Bluto is not liable for decisions you make based on AI outputs. The full scope of our liability in relation to AI features is set out in clause 08 of the AI Terms at bluto.ai/legal/ai and clause 11 of the Terms of Service at bluto.ai/legal/terms.

4.4 If you have questions about how AI features work, what data is used to generate outputs, or how your data is handled, please refer to our AI Terms at bluto.ai/legal/ai and our Privacy Policy at bluto.ai/legal/privacy. For anything else, contact us at [email protected].
